He has over 25 years of experience in economic analysis. Prior to joining Banco Votorantim, he was the economist in charge for Latin America at WestLB Bank AG, being part of the Global Research Team. He has been a top-ranked economist in different positions, such as the Central Bank’s and Bloomberg’s. He was also a senior partner at Tendências Consultoria, from 1996 to 2006, and an adviser at the Ministry of Finance during the Real Plan (1993-1995). Roberto has Bachelor’s degrees in Economics from the University of São Paulo, Business Administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas and a Master’s degree in Economics from Fundação Getúlio Vargas. He is currently columnist at Agencia Estado and GloboNews.
