Marcela Ponce has worked with IFC since 2009, where she serves currently as Regional Climate Finance Leader for Latin America and the Caribbean and where she coordinates the Sustainable Banking Network.
She has over 20 years work experience, of which more than 15years have been focused on sustainability in Europe and Latin America, supporting financial entities in the development of sustainable businesses, governments in the definition of regulatory frameworks that promote sustainability, and in the planning and construction of Zero Carbon real estate developments. Marcela holds a master’s degree in BusinessAdministration, a degree in Climate Change: Economics and Governance and in Financial Management of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Projects. Marcela holds a master’s degree in Sustainability Leadership at the University of Cambridge.
